Family Friendly Ski Resort

Arapahoe Basin is a family friendly ski resort.  The mountain is situated on the backside of Loveland Pass and promotes an easy experience for families with children.  If you have an infant who can’t ski, the lodge is located just a short walk from the parking lot and the vehicle drop off is even closer to the lodge.  There seems to be many parents with infants who split their ski time.  For instance, Mom get’s first lift and 2 hours of skiing and then relieves Dad who gets 2 hours  of skiing.  Baby gets to go on the ski trip and hang out in the lodge with one of the parents.  Here, Mom and Dad don’t have hire a babysitter for their ski trip and they both get their turns in.  Downside, Mom and Dad don’t get to ski together, so on a powder day, it may be worth hiring a sitter for your ski trip.

Other family friendly ski resorts are Breckenridge, Keystone, Vail and Beaver Creek.  All of these locations have infant child care along with ski schhol.  Loveland, Winter Park, Copper and most other resorts are family friendly ski resorts with ski school and some have infant care.  Be sure to always call ahead to inquire and be sure to always check the traffic report before going to the mountains.
