Loveland Reports 3 New Inches of Fresh Powder

Loveland reports 3 new inches of fresh powder. Their base is growing and it’s the beginning of November. I took some turns at neighboring A-Basin on Sunday and the snow was great. A little slippery on my first run, but as the sun penetrated the base, the snow became much nicer to take big turns. This year I decided to hang up the Volkl G3 as my rock ski and moved up to my Volkl Gotama as my rock ski. As I stood in line, the guy in front of me was also on his Gotama’s. He made contact with me complimenting my ski choice. I later found out he practices skiing switch 2 hours a day on his Gotama’s and he can ski from the middle of the mountain to the bottom without stopping – SWITCH! Wow – that’s serious, crazy, and awesome all at the same time. We were on the fifth chair to the top of the mountain and I didn’t even stop to click my boots in. How many times can you say you’re on the 5th chair when they first open the top of the mountain?By the way, I clicked them in, just while I was moving – always click your boots in!
