What’s in your box?
What’s in your box? This is what is in ours!! There are actually more skis, but they are at home and retired.
This weekend, I skied my 13th day of the year. It was great. I was fortunate enough to have spent my 12th day at A-Basin. Today I skied at Loveland. Both days were great. Even though there has not been a big snowfall, the snow is very good. The runs are fast, the bumps are solid, but we’re skiing. There is no complaining at all!
The ski patrols
were out in full force at A-Basin on Saturday. The Pali lift is open. We had a chance to watch the patrols pack the snow down on the Pali runs. This does not look like an easy job. The benefit…they get to take a nice freshy run when they are finished with their work – a very nice reward!
There is a big storm rolling into the mountains. Hopefully, there will be a dead on hit to A-Basin. And hopefully, this will allow Pali to open! This area of A-Basin is amazing to ski. Just be prepared to ski the bumps!
Today, the visi
bility was extremely clear at Loveland. The ridge was open, and we could see for miles. The Gore Range was very clear, Breckenridge and Keystone, Torry’s or maybe Greys. I’m always confusing the two. I believe we saw Mount of the Holy Cross. The day was simply beautiful!
The snow was a bit thin in certain areas, but that is to be expected at this time of year. Overall, it was another great weekend of skiing. And the Gotama’s still ROCK! Especially on the groomers and in the bumps. They are a fun challenge!!!
Until the next post…have a great day!
